My name is Colin Edgley and i'm a photographer based in Columbus Ohio. My work focuses on subjects and situations that society tries ignore. Ranging from social stereotyping to mental health, through the use of mixed media, film, and digital photography I strive to convey the raw form to the audience. I merely do not capture images with my camera but I aspire to either help educate or show the viewer a different perspective on the subject at hand. Drawing inspiration from past/present pop culture, surrealism, and even movie directors such as Alfred Hitchcock, has taught me that every element in an photograph as significance. This allows me to warp my concepts into thought-provoking images that create a conversation between the art , the viewer, and overall challenge society's assumptions.
